Current location: Katoomba, Blue Mountains
11.11pm, Sitting on the couch in the holiday house, drinking wine and chatting. Pip and family came up here yesterday to explore the Blue Mountains with her best friend Elle, Elle's husband Dan and their daughter Poppy. Andy and I joined after work, and had a quick walk and then we all went to a pub for dinner. It was super hot and muggy, and there were thousands of giant, noisy cicadas, and it was lovely to sit outside with a cold beer and some yummy food. As the kids started to get tired, we headed back to the holiday house and sat around chatting for hours, feeling a million miles away from the city.
