Sunday 2 September – Making the most of the sea

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, On my way home. We'd just seen the Reeses off on the train back to London, then I went home for a bit of a chill before taking myself off to Battery Rocks for a swim and a read. I got chatting to a really lovely lady and we had a bit of a swim together, then I was watching a paddle boarder. As they got closer, I realised it was my mum! So Mum and I had a hang and a chat with our legs darling in the sea, then she paddled home again. I love Cornwall. In the late afternoon, Andy and I headed to Sennen, ate a delicious dinner on the beach (stuffed marrow from the allotment) and had a surf. I love Sunday evenings with him.

Saturday 1 September – The long walk

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Getting home from a big 10-mile run with my sisters and Saturday running club. It was glorious (well actually rainy, but the run itself was glorious) and longer than we intended, but so good to do, I love setting my Saturdays up like this.
Once we'd all gone home and showered and eaten, we went to St Just and had a big walk out to to the Cape. It was a gorgeous, grey, rugged day, and I felt super alive and enthralled by it all. After a bit of a chill on the rocky beach, we went back to Pippa's and put on a film (The Greatest Showman), while Jo made us all sausage and mash (my favourite). Slowly all the kids got bored and wandered off to play, until it was just me watching it. Great film though (first time I'd seen it). After sausages and mash and a glass of prosecco, I took my weary legs home to bed.

Friday 31 August – Pieces of the Reeses

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, On our way to north Cornwall to meet a couple whose wedding Andy is shooting on Wednesday for South Weds (and stop off to see a venue for another wedding he's shooting). The couple were lovely, and it was great to be at such a gorgeous venue (Polhawn Fort). We came back to play with Ella and Jake, who are down at the moment with my sister Kate, then in the evening I went for some drinks with Mum and Kate to the Cornish Barn; we had such a good chat, in a good atmosphere and I just loved it.

Thursday 30 August – Freeeeezing

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Sitting on my sofa working and trying to warm up. Before work today, Pippa and I went to Jubilee Pool to be extras, which involved a few hours of getting in and out of the pool on a freezing cold morning, then doing some laps (or trying to keep up with good swimmers doing laps!). Back home, and a pot of tea, a sausage roll, multiple layers of clothing and a blanket and I was just about thawed out!

Wednesday 29 August – The fourth and final aquathlon

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, In the Yacht, having birthday drinks for Pippa (her birthday was yesterday). We did the final aquathlon tonight, under sunny skies, and it was so much fun. I didn't put any pressure on myself, told myself just to enjoy it, and I really did! My time wasn't great (better than last month's) but it was just a lovely event. Afterwards, a group of us from Pippa's Saturday morning running club that I am now a solid part of went to the Yacht, and we had multiple gins, chips and chats. A really lovely, funny, fab night.

Monday 27 August – Tunaversity Challenge

Current location: Gulval
11.11pm, At Becky and Willy's house. In the day it was gorgeous Toby's naming celebrations, which saw us all heading to Penlee Park for a super relaxed and lovely picnic. The in the evening, I met Becky at the gym, and then we went back to hers to play with the kids and then eat an amazing tuna dinner and watch University Challenge with her and Willy. Becky and Andy were amazing at it, Will and I less so. It was ace fun, then we watched Taskmaster and drank lots of wine, such a fun night!

Saturday 25 August – My Saturday squad

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, At Pippa's, eating pancakes after our run (6 miles). Then I came home, popped to town, then walked almost to Ruth's. She picked me up and we went for a swim at Porthgwarra yesterday - it's so cold at the moment! We sat in the sunshine for an hour or so to warm up, then I came home and went for a drink with Mum and Dad (which turned into three) and was such a funny night.
