Sunday 15 December - Carols in the countryside

Current location: Penzance

11.11pm, Back home, after carols in St Levan. It was a festive, cosy, lovely evening, and I came home to a handsome husband playing Christmas music, eating gingerbread and decorating. In the day we went for a very blustery walk at Zennor, then a pint in the Tinners. I love Christmas.

Friday 13 December – Girls night out

11.11pm, At the Cornish Barn, having some drinks. I’d had dinner with a group of lovely friends, which involved Mexican food (how festive) and dancing in the empty part of the restaurant we were in, then some drinks, the home earlier than we’d expected but after lots of fun. I hadn’t taken any pictures so here’s me in a Christmas hat instead.

Saturday 7 December – London loves

Current location: London

11.11pm, On the tube back to Kate’s. What an awesome day it’s been - in fact, an awesome couple of days, since we got back from Oz. Today was Ella and Jake’s Winter Fayre at school, and it was so fun! We won a happy hamper, a bottle of wine, and had a mulled wine and a delish burger, and just enjoyed being with the fab Rees family. Then I headed up to Potts’ new house in north London, where I met the girls for a few proseccos, and then we went for our Christmas dinner in Angel. It was a properly lovely evening, we missed Sara but the rest of us had very heartfelt catch-ups and excitement for the year ahead.

Wednesday 4 December – Time to fly

Current location: Sydney

11.11am, Having a swim and coffee (and bacon and egg roll) at Tamarama. We’ve had the most magic time with everyone, and spending the last morning with Nick, Bree and Ave was ace. In the afternoon we met the rest of our amazing family and had the funnest little beer and lunch afternoon in The Rocks (where we bumped into some people staying at our Byron hotel!). I love this little family who have welcomed me with open arms! Andy and I walked back to Erskineville, then before long it was time to head to the airport. What a trip.

Tuesday 3 December – New babies and old traditions

Current location: Saratoga
11.11am, Meeting Bonnie! While we were away, Ducky and Tom had their baby! She is a beautiful little girl called Bonnie, and I am so glad we got to sneak in a cuddle before we go back to the UK.

In the afternoon, we drove down to Manly and had a Christmas evening at Jess’ house. She and Bree made an amazing Christmas dinner, we did Secret Santa, drank Christmas vodka (and Aperol Spritzes) and soaked up the last evening together for a while.

Monday 2 December – Swim and drive

Current location: Byron Bay

11.11am, On the road. We went for a swim this morning and then began the long drive back to the Central Coast. Amazing Andy drove the whole way, and we listened to podcasts and chatted, stopping only to take photos of the burnt bush, so sad.

Saturday 30 November – The most stunning wedding

Current location: Byron Bay

11.11pm, At Laura and Willis’ wedding. Oh my goodness, what an incredible day, full of lovely, kind-hearted and fun people, in such a stunning space. They got married at Fin’s at Plantation House, and everything from the weather to the location to the food was just ace. A super special day, I am so glad we got to be here for it.

Friday 29 November – Prep and pink wine

Current location: Byron Bay

11.11pm, Asleep, in an incredible house in Byron. Tomorrow we have the wedding of two very good friends, and Andy is doing the photos for them. Today we went to see the wedding venue (a new one, as their old one sadly burnt down) and it’s beautiful! Then we went to meet our lovely friend Em and had a pink wine with her (tradition) and her friend, then met our friend Patto for another drink. Byron is fun!
