Saturday 20 June - A Saturday jaunt

11.11am, In Fowey. Andy has a shoot here soon for an exciting new drinks product, and so we went up for a reccy today. It was a gorgeous sunny day, and we met some friends, had a tour around a mussel farm and then had a mosey through the town, and had lunch by the harbour.

Friday 19 June - Running into the weekend

11.11am, Running. I ran 18km and then had a bath, nap, did some work, made brownies, went for a walk with my sis, then popped up to Ruth's garden to have a Friday night drink with her and James and Andy, which turned into pizza and many wines.

Thursday 18 June – Building up my ACL knowledge

11.11am, In a Zoom call, with some incredibly talented people. Netball Queensland has been doing an interactive 'Conversations' series, and today's one was about ACLs. Dubbed 'The Imperfect Storm', it was by Netball Queensland’s Fusion Head Coach Jen Brazel, Netball New Zealand’s Injury Prevention Manager, Sharon Kearney, Netball Queensland’s EDP player, Reilley Batcheldor, and Daniel Johnson, Netball Queensland’s Strength & Conditioner, and the knowledge that these people have is incredible. I am so interested in injury prevention (especially this particular injury!) in netball, and it was awesome to get an insight into how professional leagues are approaching it.

Tuesday 16 June – Evening ripples

11.11am, Walking. I was off to Sainsbury's to get some shopping. I've been furloughed from Wed Magazine, due to ongoing Corona-related reasons, which means I have a few more free days during the week for this month at least. I used today's free hours by catching up on life admin things, but in the evening, I went for a run and then met Ruth and Andy for a swim at Battery Rocks. It was a stunning evening and we had a beer on the rocks afterwards, and it was just gorge.

Sunday 14 June – So peaceful

11.11am, Talking to Nick and Bree (who live in Sydney). We had an epic 2.5-hour catch-up, and then in the afternoon, Andy and I drove over to Cape Cornwall. The weather had been pretty grey and a bit miserable, but once we got there, it magically cleared up. We walked a different route along the cliff path to the one we normally take, and it was so so beautiful. There wasn't really anyone around, and we took a picnic and sat on the clifftop for ages, reading and chatting. Such a lovely afternoon with my lovely husband.

Saturday 13 June – Quite a lot of not a lot

11.11am, Swimming. Andy wanted to do a test shoot for a new drink he's photographing soon, so we got in the sea and it was freeeeeezing. A fun morning though, then we cycled home just before the heavens opened, and I spent most of the rest of the day mooching around and trying to get warm.

Friday 12 June – A surprisingly free day

11.11am, Running. I decided to kick off the weekend with a long run, and managed 20km in the rain. It was a great run actually, I was feeling good for most of it, until the end when the wind was against me, I was soggy and tired, and I realised my Strava hadn't recorded. But nonetheless it was a good way to start the day. Friday is normally a working day for me, for Wed Magazine, but I have just been furloughed for the rest of June. It's a funny old feeling – obviously I want the mag to survive and whatever is best for the business, plus it's nice to have a bit more time after a manic year juggling two jobs – it's just a strange feeling. I went for a walk with my mum in the afternoon (also in the rain) and a big old chat with Lily in Marazion, then came home and watched a horror film with Andy.

Tuesday 9 June – Baby seagulls!

11.11am, Being excited! The little eggs that have been on the front of our kitchen window hatched last night, and we have spent most of today being excited about the babies that have been born. Sadly one out of three didn't make it, but the other two have got fluffy and are super cute.

Sunday 7 June – Gal pals

11.11am, In Mousehole. I was on the beach, drinking coffee and chatting with Molly, Ruth and Laurie. It was so delightful, and pretty much like a normal morning! I won't take hanging with friends for granted again; at least I will try not to. I can't remember what I did in the afternoon, which means it was likely to be not a whole lot of noteworthy things.

Saturday 6 June - Saturday stroll

11.11am, Getting home from a run/walk. It’s our friend Mich’s birthday so we stood outside her house with bunting and balloons and sang to her. I walked back home with Pip, said hi to her family, then continued my usual Saturday tradition of going to Lovett’s for a coffee. Then a chilled day at home, eating bacon sarnies and blogging.
(Pic of my plants as no other photos today)

Friday 5 June - New Friday nights

11.11pm, Leaving Ruth’s house (well, garden). Andy and I came up this evening to eat pizza and drink bubbles in her garden and it was so lovely. It felt *almost* normal!

Tuesday 2 June - All the walks

11.11am, At work, at my Wed Magazine job (at home). I went for a run this morning before work (well, a 5km run, then walk back), and it turned into such a beautiful hot day. At lunchtime I went to a little secluded spot and had a swim in the sea, and it was utterly magical. Then in the evening, Andy packed us up a teatime picnic, and off we went for a walk to a beach near Marazion to watch the sunset. Such a beautiful day.

Monday 1 June – First day of summer, first bbq

11.11am, At work, making plans for the evening. We went to Mum and Dad’s for a bbq in their garden! Usually that wouldn’t require an exclamation mark, but considering we haven’t been able to do that for months, it was pretty exciting!

Saturday 30 May – Dawn Days of May

11.11am, Sitting on a wall, drinking coffee and looking at the sea. Andy and I got up at 4am because he wanted to shoot a photo at the beach while the sun was coming up, for a thing called Dawn Days of May, started by one of Andy’s photographer friends. It was early and silent (not the birds though, they were noisy!) and so pretty. The coffee afterwards was much needed and fast becoming a favourite part of my week. It was a beautiful sunny day, so after a nap we headed out for a cliff walk to Nanjizal, for a cold and refreshing swim.

Friday 29 May – Balcony hang

11.11am, Can’t remember what I did in the night; probably watch TV or Zoom-call friends. Earlier in the evening I went for a little walk then came home and sat on the balcony in the sun with a rose. Lovely stuff.
