Wednesday 26 October – Welcome to the world, Olivia!

Current location: Eveleigh
11.11am, Checking my phone like a madwoman. Jess my niece/bestie/partner-in-crime was in labour (although I didn't know it then!) – I knew she was in hospital, but I didn't know she was minutes away from having her baby! At midday the beautiful little Olivia was born. I am so excited to know and love this little munchkin, and will forever treasure those cuddles I got when she was just hours old.

Sunday 23 October – Amy's Iceberg hen do

Current location: Alexandria
11.11am, Getting ready! Today's Amy's hen do, at the beautiful Icebergs, for a long and delicious and boozy lunch, with some of my favourite people, gorgeous views, sooooo much food and endless rose wine. Dreamy! I had such a brilliant afternoon, and then headed off to see Jess and Christabel et al, for their last weekend as non-mamas (both are pregnant and due this week). The sea was ferocious, so my ferries got cancelled, and a one-hour journey took me three! All worth it though :)

Saturday 22 October – Ikea and party

Current location: Alexandria
11.11am, Organising! Andy and I got our sort-out on, and had a big old declutter ahead of our trip away next week... We threw away (or gave to charity) about 16 bags of stuff, and managed to pack for our trip away! Afterwards we rewarded ourselves with the pub! It was our friend Thimo's birthday, so we went to Shady Pines in Surry Hills and drank/ate/chatted/danced away the afternoon/evening.

Wednesday 19 October – Night noodle markets

Current location: Eveleigh
11.11am, Texting Em to make a plan for meeting later. We went to the noodle markets with Jac and Zoe (who I went to Bali with) and we ate Vietnamese popcorn chicken, sweet potato wedges, sausages and drank wine – not very noodle-y, but very yum and fun!

Tuesday 18 October – Netball and chill

Current location: Paddington
11.11pm, Cycling home. So late! I'd been at netball, umpiring, until about 9.30pm. It was the grand final, and not only did Hoops win (unbeaten this season, for the first time ever!), the team I've been semi-'coaching' won too! (They play in different divisions.) As Netball and Chill play in the last timeslot, they decided to head off to the pub afterwards, to celebrate the win, and I decided to join them. I absolutely hated umpiring when I started, and I am proud to say that now I have persevered, I kind of enjoy it – and I have made friends doing it!

Monday 17 October – Book club hosting

Current location: Eveleigh
11.11am, Planning what I needed to get at lunch time (wine, cheese and things preggo people can eat), as I had book club at my house in the evening. We had a fab time, and overate as usual!

Sunday 16 October – Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Current location: Petersham
11.11am, Having brekkie with my friend Kara. So yummy, so lovely, it was a fab start to my day and a great catch-up with a wonder woman I haven't seen in far too long.
Next up was a really delish lunch with a group of friends from the gym. We went to the Dolphin in Surry Hills and had a few midday wines in the sunshine, and had a good chat about things that you don't get to chat about when you only usually see each other during a workout!
It was such a hot day, so after lunch we headed over to Bondi with some of the fam, and had Beach Burrito for dinner, on North Bondi. Perfecto!

Saturday 15 October – Beach netball!

Current location: Wollongong, NSW
11.11am, On the beach! Cheering on my amazing netball team, who were taking part in a Beach Netball tournament. It was such a beautiful day and such a brilliant atmosphere, with the guys digging deep and playing nine games without any subs!! We ended up coming fourth and winning delish Chobani goodies, as well as getting to meet some of my netball idols including Kim Green and Taylah Davies, who filled in for us! What a day, what a team!

Friday 14 October – Cutting laps

Current location: Eveleigh
11.11am, At work, feeling like it's mid-afternoon. I got up at 5.45am today to go for a swim with my lovely friends Ducky and Juzzy, and then Andy and I went for brekkie. So by the time I got to work at 9am, I was ready for a nap!

Wednesday 12 October – Feeling fruity!

Current location: Eveleigh
11.11am, Eating a pear. This morning I picked up our fruit and veg box – it's the best! Our local cafe, Mollycoddle, goes to the markets on Weds morning and packs $30 fruit and veg boxes, and I love them. So much local and seasonal produce, yum!

Sunday 9 October – Sunny coasty Sunday

Current location: On a train
11.11am, On the way up to the Central Coast. We had such a lovely day with Dave and Val, having a yummy lunch, going for a swim and chilling on the beach, watching the Aus v NZ netball on TV (Australia won), then having a BBQ dinner and wine. Perfect Sunday!

Saturday 8 October – The Lucy Higgins Pre-Season Oztag Trophy!

Current location: Alexandria
11.11am, Getting dressed into a cheerleader outfit. Today is a pre-season Oztag tournament for all the F45 Oztag teams. It got named the Lucy Higgins Cup, which makes it sound like I've died, but is because I won't be playing this year due to injury, but am still heavily involved in the teams (especially Brooklyn!)... Anyway, my friend Lara, who is also injured, and I decided to dress as cheerleaders, so we went all out and embraced the theme. No-one bats an eyelid in Erskineville!
The Oztaggers were amazing – it was such a cool comp, with so much skill and flair and humour on show!
In the eve, we all headed to The Rocks Brewery in Alexandria, where F45 Newtown put on a big party for us, which started with beer and ended with shots and karaoke (I did the shots but not the karaoke!).
