Saturday 13 March – Sunshine and showers

11.11am, On the phone to our friends in Oz. My Saturday started in its standard way, with a walk/run with my sis, and today had a lot of rain and sun. I love getting home knowing the exercise is done, getting to have had chats and stretched our legs, and then have a bit more of a chill day. I've spent most of today catching up on blogging and house jobs. And watching netball, of course.

Thursday 11 March – Everybody needs good neighbours

11.11am, Making hot choc plans for later, with my lovely neighbour Florence whose birthday it is today. I made her a white choc and raspberry cake. I love living next to her - I don't if it's lockdown, sharing a balcony, adopting a baby seagull or just the natural progression of time, but we've become really good friends and I love living next to her.

Tuesday 9 March - Best-laid plans...

11.11am, Making plans to meet Mol. We were going to have a coffee and a walk on the prom at lunchtime but when we met, her car had broken down so she had to be towed away! Poor Mol and Eben!

Sunday 7 March – Living local

11.11am, Watching netball. My fave set-up: yummy coffee, food and netball! Andy and I went out for a walk this morning and it was a beautifully sunny one, but cold. We bumped into our friend Eve at the skate park, and then saw lots of brave people swimming! In the afternoon I had a cuppa in the park next to our flat with my neighbour/friend, before coming home and doing some jobs (cleaning, painting, blogging). I also made date slice (which was delish!) and did some yoga, so I feel like it was a pretty Sunday-y Sunday, in a good way.

Saturday 6 March – Sennen stunner

11.11am, Watching netball. The Constellation Cup between Australia and New Zealand is on at the moment, and it's such a treat to drink a coffee and watch a live match. Simple pleasures. Not much to report from this week - I am pretty over being on my computer all day every day, and really miss human interaction of an office or workplace, but generally can't complain. I have just recently got a 'new' job (which isn't new as I've been covering the role for a few months) but it means mostly remote working still. Luckily I love my little home office, and I verrrryyyyy much love the job, so it's pretty good really! This afternoon, Andy and I needed to leave the house (after a pretty lazy day to be honest) so went over to Sennen for a walk and a beer on the cliffs as the sun went down. Then we cracked open some Champagne to celebrate my new job, and had a fun eve of board games and chats.

Sunday 28 February – Weekends are the best

11.11am, Being lazy. Sunday mornings, are they for anything else?! I can't remember what most of the day entailed, but in the late afternoon we went to Gwenver for a sunny stroll and sit. I just remember feeling so calm and content there. The weeks have a weird feeling to them at the moment, as I am working a lot (which I love) but not really winding down or letting off steam, so the weekends have become my sanctuary. Love them.

Saturday 27 February – Such a sunny one!

11.11am, Saturday ritualling. I'd been for a run in the beautiful sunshine then Andy and I went for a walk from Cape Cornwall to Nanquidno; it really is an amazing stretch of coastline, that I hadn't walked before. I love weekends.

Friday 26 February – Cornish cruises

11.11am, Working. I had the dentist today (every week at the mo thanks to an ongoing tooth pain) and the sun was so gorgeous, I was desperate to get out in it. So after work Andy and I headed to Nanquidno for a little walk and a read in the sunshine.

Thursday 25 February – Pressie delivery!

11.11am, Working. Work's been pretty full on lately and it's been hard to get out in the day, so after work today I walked out to Marazion to drop off some birthday pressies for Lily and her son Toby. It was gorgeous to see them! It was such a nice evening, I decided to run home after (about 7km I think), but once the sun went in it was pretty cold and dark! Nice way to get moving in the evening though, and so lovely to see some smiling faces in the middle!

Tuesday 23 February – Spokes and jokes

11.11pm, Laughing. Well maybe not still laughing, but we laughed for most of the evening! Andy's bro Nick had bought us tickets to a virtual comedy night, held by the Bike Project, and the comedians were excellent! We decided to get dressed up, had nice dinner and laughed for a lot of the eve.

Monday 22 February – A happy new ritual

11.11am, At work. At lunchtime I met my friend Carly for a run (as we're not able to do Friday runs, our usual, at the moment because I always have the dentist). We have got into a bit of a habit that if we go for a run, we have to end it with a dip in the sea. So refreshing (so cold!) and such a nice little new thing to get into.

Saturday 20 February – Loving the weekends

11.11am, Having a coffee. I love Saturdays at the moment... I run/walk with Pippa, then come home shower, and go and get a coffee from Lovett's. I really do love it. Then it's usually a quiet-ish morn, maybe some baking, a couple of house jobs, then Andy and I go out somewhere for a walk or on our bikes. I really really do love it.

Friday 19 February – Cheers chum

11.11pm, Winding down. Tonight we drank Aperol Spritzes and pretended to be on holiday. I've had a real yearning recently for being in a different city, wandering the streets, getting lost, being in the sunshine, finding little bars, being on holiday.

Thursday 18 February – Bright and breezy

11.11am, At home, feeling colourful. At lunchtime, I went for a walk with Mum and it was colourful and fun and sunny and just lovely. I'm very lucky to live near here in this weird year, and have all the walks and talks to prove it.

(Here's also a great pic of Mum from her birthday)

Wednesday 17 February – A well spent day off?

11.11am, Cleaning. I had today off work so for some reason decided to get my clean on, and now the flat is lovely and sparkling! Taking time off work at the moment is very bizarre - we're told to do it to use up our annual leave allowances (and I am always happy to have a random day off!) but as no-one can go anywhere, it means you tend to just hang out at home. I actually really love it, not having any plans and just getting life admin done and letting the day unfold. After many hours of tidying and cleaning, Andy and I went for a *very* wet and windy walk, and then came home and did an online yoga class. Andy was doing yoga a fair bit in lockdown 1 but I hadn't, so it was quite fun to do one together.

Monday 15 January – Brilliant birthday boy

11.11am, At the beach! Today is Andy's birthday! We got up pretty early, I did some pilates and then we headed straight over to Pendeen for a walk down to Portheras beach (still unclear whether this is allowed or now but it seems to be OK to stay local and we didn't see anyone! I hate all this weirdness and suspicious and uncertainty). It was a gorgeous morning - cold but sunny - and while Andy went for a surf (with about 20 seals!) I read my book on the beach. Then we walked back to the car, grabbed a pasty, and then had a chilled afternoon. My parents came outside for a slice of cake and to sing Andy Happy Birthday, and then I made a Chinese banquet for dinner! You are AMAZING Andy, and I am so glad I live with you/am married to you/love you. xx
