Tuesday 29 January – Sleepovers

Current location: Chyenhal
11.11pm, Asleep. I was at Ruth's house (I went to help/hang out while James is away) and I had a lovely time with Ruan and Kit, then Ruth and I ate sausage and mash and had a glass of wine and watched rubbish telly and chatted.

Sunday 27 January – Sunday strolls

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Just getting home from Hayle. I went early this morning to do a workout with Kate and Lauren, and then we had brekky at Kate’s (protein pancakes, yum!). I zoomed back to Penzance, and then Nicky picked me up and took me to Ruth’s, where we had a really good snack lunch and tried to go for a walk, but it was a bit too cold and windy so we went back to Ruth’s and hung out drinking tea. In the eve I went to the gym and then curled up with a glass of wine and my book.

Saturday 26 January – Pancake party

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, At the Pyrahs, eating pancakes, the Saturday tradition. The rest of the day brought an afternoon gym session (including a class that only Pippa and I were in), some house bits and then in the evening I went to St Just to have dinner for a friends' birthday (there were loads of us!). I hung out with Nicky and Rambo all night and loved it.

Friday 25 January – Chasing my tail

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, In the gym. I had a really good, long workout and then went into town, did some jobs, went to see Ruth, Ruan and Kit and then went to see Lily. It was one of those days where I was bit late for everything and felt like I didn't quite manage to do all the things I wanted. In the eve, Tamara came over and we had some wines and met a netball friend, then went to watch my friend's band play at The Acorn – it was ace to see him!

Monday 24 September – The edge of the world

Current location: Near Sennen, ish
11.11am, At a photoshoot with work. We were staying at a beautiful house on the cliffs (Andy and I stayed the night before too) and the shoot was such a fab one. A brill team, and the most scenic of locations, I was totally inspired by the cliffs and the sea and the scenery!
After the shoot, Andy, Brendan and I stayed at the amazing house for the evening, eating a delish homemade (by Andy) veg lasagne, mince pies, and having a beer (I had a mulled wine) in the hot tub as the sun set. Unreal.

Saturday 22 September – Netball night out

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, In a pub. Not sure which one (there were many), but we were having drinks (there were many) and hilarious moments (there were many). I was out with my new netball club – actually, not that new considering I played for them since I was 11, but with a 14-year gap – and we hit the town hard! We started at the Meadery, and then had a brill time on a pub crawl.

Friday 21 September – Sold out in St Ives

Current location: St Ives
11.11pm, On our way home. We'd been for a girls dinner in St Ives to celebrate lots of birthdays in our group – but unfortunately, we couldn't get in anywhere to eat. We sat in the lovely Searooms and had drinks while we tried to get in somewhere, until eventually, a few bottles of wine and some ace chats later, we decided to stay put and eat tapas for tea.

Wednesday 19 September – Lamb (not) on the menu

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, On my way to a food shoot. It was one that fully embraced lamb and, as a non-eater of lamb (thanks to having a lovely pet lamb, Peggy, as a child) I didn't get to indulge afterwards, like I normally do. But it was a fun shoot regardless!

Monday 17 September – A jolly in Cubert

Current location: Cubert
11.11pm, Watching Bruno and nearly falling asleep on Nicky's sofa. We'd come over for the evening to eat Thai food and hang out and have a lovely time catching up. It was a dreamy, full-of-food evening that just makes me so glad to live near (ish) to them.

Friday 14 September – Al-arm-ing behaviour

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Paddle-boarding! Mum took me out along to the Jubilee Pool, and it was a beautiful calm morning, then the wind turned and it was SUCH a struggle to get back! It was amazing but such a hardcore arm workout, we even needed a break halfway along. I came home and did house jobs, then went to Zumba with Pip in the eve. Well, we thought it was Zumba, but it turned out to be 'Zumba Strong', which is very different, and a lot more cardio-y, with bonus burpees and push-ups. My arms are tired tonight!

Sunday 9 September – Pirates and parties

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Sitting on the sofa. We spent a lazy Sunday morning reading, Skyping our Aussie friends and family, blogging and eating. In the afternoon I met some of my netball friends and we went to watch the Pirates rugby match.
In the evening, Andy and I cycled to Long Rock for the Coco Loco end of summer party. We had a yum dinner, lots of drinks and a funny, fab eve.

Saturday 8 September – So many steps

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, At Pippa's, eating pancakes. We started our Saturday in the usual way, going for a run. Today we ran 10 miles, to Marazion and back, and then I was in dire need of Jo's amazing pancakes! Andy came round too and we all hung at the Pyrahs for a bit, then I went out to Long Rock to meet Lily. We walked back to Penzance, had a mooch in town, then I walked up to the Leisure Centre to watch Andy's football match. They won-5-2! Ruth, James and Ruan picked me up and we went to Trevaskis Farm, looked at all the animals and ate a huge piece of banoffee pie, then they dropped me home and I got ready for work. In the evening I worked at Coco Loco with Andy, up and down lots of stairs, and on my feet all evening, but it was awesome fun. By bedtime my legs were TIRED.

Friday 7 September – Quiet Friday

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, Asleep. I've been trying to have a few more early nights this week (and no drinking), after a pretty full-on fun August. I worked today and had a coffee with Mum, then in the evening I cycled/walked to Ruth's, had a squash and a chat, then came home, ate dinner (homemade by Andy; veggie lasagne with veg from his allotment), read my book and went to bed when Andy came back from work.

Thursday 6 September – Baby lunch

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Working. At lunchtime I went to the Old Coastguard to have a celebration lunch for Ruth and Laurie who are both due to have a baby next month. It was a gorgeous, civilised, delicious lunch with so many of my favourite people.

Wednesday 5 September – Wedding at Polhawn Fort

Current location: Polhawn Fort, near Torpoint
11.11am, At a wedding! Well, the pre-preparations of a wedding. Lisa and Craig, a lovely couple who we have a mutual friend with, are getting married today, and the venue is just gorgeous. Andy and I got there at about 9am today, and Andy got to work shooting, while I assisted with things like lighting, organisation, and generally making coffees and helping where needed! The day was absolutely incredible – as well as getting married, the couple also had a naming ceremony for their daughter Luana – and everything was just so family-focused and moving and heart-warming. The weather was beautiful too, and we had a gorgeous time down on the private beach taking photos. We stayed until about 9pm (after locating the guest who'd blocked our car in, then got very drunk and lost his keys haha) and then got back to our AirBnB and pretty much fell straight to sleep.
