Saturday 20 February – Eye don't know where I'm going...

Current location: Paddington, Sydney
11.11am, Cycling to an eyebrow appointment. I've never had my eyebrows done, and I need to do it before our Aussie wedding celebrations in April... So off I went to my appointment at the 'best place in Sydney' (which it's very hard to get an appt at!), only to discover I'd gone to completely the wrong place, and missed my appointment. Oops.

Friday 19 February – Lauren and Lucy (and Andy and Corey)

Current location: Erskineville
11.11pm, Drinking at home. Tonight my beautiful friend from WA, Lauren, came over to mine and Andy's house, along with her equally wonderful husband Corey. The four of us had a few drinks at home, then headed into Erskineville for many, many bottles of Prosecco and lots of yummy Thai food. Lauren is one of those girls who I just know I will always have fun with; it's been the same ever since we made friends aged 10. And what fun we had! We finished our Thai, then went to the Hive for tequila shots, then sat on a bench drinking Champagne... classy girls. The next morning, I had a hangover and a flight to Adelaide for June that we'd booked the night before in the Hive.

Monday 15 February – Happy birthday my lobster

Current location: Alexandria

11.11pm, Watching Making a Murderer. Today is Andy's birthday (and Nick's birthday!) so after work, we went up to Newtown and had a yummy seafood dinner... It actually wasn't the best, so we came home and had a drink and watched some TV. We celebrated on Saturday, and the boys are also having a party next saturday, so it was nice to have a chilled one with the birthday boy.

Sunday 14 February – My busy Valentine's

Current location: Queens Park
11.11am, Playing football with my new football team. It was SO hot. This morning I went for a 6.5km run with my gym friends, then a quick swim, then to football, so i was pretty hot and tired by the time I got there! After footy, a group of us went to the beach, for more swims and sunbathing, although that was pretty hot too, so we gave up pretty quickly and I went home for a nap. The evening brought two games of netball (we lost both but only just) before I collapsed on the sofa with dinner, Netflix and my one true love, Andy. I love him for not caring if I play sport all Valentine's Day, and for playing sport with me, and for loving having a low-key lovely life with me!

Saturday 13 February – Party in the park

Current location: Alexandria
11.11am, Driving around, picking up provisions for a BBQ in the park. It's Andy's birthday on Monday, so he decided to have a bday barbie in Prince Alfred Park. We ate, drank, listened to tunes, chatted, played football, played croquet, ate more, drank more, chatted more, saw old faces and new friends, and had such a fab time late into the evening.

Friday 12 February – Flower Friday

Current location: Newtown
11.11pm, Leaving the pub. I’d been for a ‘business meeting’ with Rach, who as well as being a good friend, is also doing the flowers for our wedding. We went to Black Sheep in Newtown, drank red wine, discussed flowers and laughed A LOT. Best business meeting!

Thursday 11 February – Lent is well and truly here

Current location: Eveleigh
11.11am, Testing my willpower. I have given up a few things for Lent: bread, sweets, cakes, chocolate (any delicious sweet treats, basically) and today a giant cookie got sent into the office. I’ve had some before, and it was honestly the best cookie I’ve ever tasted, so I was pretty keen to eat mire. But instead… I ate an apple. Not as good.

Sunday 7 February – Busy busy beeeeee

Current location: Queens Park, Sydney
11.11am, Playing football! This isn't something I usually do, but I'm considering joining Andy's mixed soccer team, so my friend Matty and I went for a trial game. It was way more fun – and way hotter – than I imagined, and I loved it, so I think I'll join the team.
After the game, I went to the One Fine Day wedding exhibition with my friend Rochy (who is also getting married, but next year), and we milled around lots of beautiful stalls, eating wedding cake and talking to stylists. Very nice!
By the afternoon, I was pretty tired out so went for a quick swim in the sea to rejuvenate myself, had a nap on the beach, and then went to play netball. It was a fun game, but we lost, and then I went to a friend's for dinner. Phew! What a busy busy busy but brill brill brill day!

Saturday 6 February – Ma maids

Current location: Paddington
11.11pm, Sitting on Bree's couch. Jess and I were at her house (Jess may have left by this point, I can't remember), planning wedding stuff. We'd sorted part of their bridesmaids outfits, drunk some wine, eaten some salads and bread and yummy Thomas Dux food, talked all things party, and I had a long list of things I needed to do (and hadn't even realised needed doing!). I'm getting excited!

Wednesday 3 february – Thumbs down

Current location: Newtown
11.11am, Cycling, one-handed, to work. Last night I hurt my hand/thumb playing netball, which has meant this morning I've been at the doctors, then getting X-rays, then back to the doctors, all before work. No breaks though, just some bruising and fat-handedness!

Sunday 31 January – Beach recovery

Current location: Ettalong Beach
11.11am, On the way to the beach! Andy and I got up super early and caught the train up the coast to see his parents, then the four of us went to see Jess and her friends who were at the beach. We had a gorgeous couple of hours in the sun, then had fish and chips for lunch. We had a bit of a potter in Ettalong, then I had to get a train back to Sydney for a netball match (where we got thrashed 24-1, and then I hung out with Maddie... Then got home, discovered I'd locked myself out, and had to break in through a window. Eventful!

Saturday 30 January - Double bday!

Current location: Alexandria
11.11am, Getting things ready for trivia! Today is a double celebration, as it's the 1st birthday of the gym I go to, and the 28th birthday of my lovely friend Teebow (the girl in green in the middle pic).
So, first off, we were celebrating the 1st birthday. I have to say, when I joined this gym, last March, I never thought I'd still be going there 10 months later. I never thought I'd make such good friends – friends who I've now holidayed with, partied with, will be at my wedding later in the year, been in sports teams with. The owners and trainers behind F45 Newtown have tried really hard to build a very welcoming and supportive community, and I am so glad they've succeeded! So it was ace to be able to celebrate with them, and to thank for them for making me a happier, friendlier and fitter person that I was 12 months ago.
We had a trivia afternoon in the pub, where Teebow acted as trivia master, and I ran around collecting paper and adding up scores. It was such a fun afternoon (with the top three teams being decided by 1.5 points!).
In the evening, we left to go to Teebow's party in Darlinghurst, where we drank tequila, met her friends and partied on until the (not so) early hours.

Thursday 28 January - Beauty and the Geeks

Current location: Alexandria
11.11pm, At home, telling Andy about my night. I went to a Social Diary party with some work buddies, and the theme was 'reality TV" so we went as geeks from Beauty and the Geek. It was a hilarious night, especially as we made good use of all the free drinks, and got to stare at some reality TV stars, and we managed to pick up a few more geeks along the way. Fun times!

Tuesday 26 January - Straya Day

Current location: Eveleigh
11.11am, At work, getting messages through from people planning their day. Today is Australia Day, when typically people head to the beach, have a BBQ and debate is sparked about whether it should be called Invasion Day, or celebrated on a different date (the commonly held belief is yes, it probably should).

I was at work, so when we were done, I went to the beach with Nick, Bree, Colin, Christabel, Matty D, Em and Andy, and we had a few beers, a swim, a game of beach pong and then went back to the Hive in Erskineville for dinner. Strewth!

Sunday 24 January - To the falls!

Current location: Alexandria
11.11am, Getting organised to go to the National Park. Andy and I went last year, but as most of the others hadn't been, we decided to have an explore. Walking down to the falls, everything was a lot greener and muddier, thanks to all the recent storms we've had, and when we got down to the water itself, it was so, so much higher than last time we'd been. People were jumping off the rocks, playing in the waterfalls, swimming around... It's so stunning!
After a couple of hours and a hike back to the car, we came back to Sydney and had dinner in Erko. Sometimes living here feels like being on holiday.
