Friday 1 November – More Sydney exploring

Current location: On the high seas!
11.11am, Whale-watching!! Continuing with my 'acting like a tourist in Sydney' behaviour, I went whale-watching with my sister and her family this morning. It was reallllly amazing, especially as we got to see so many whales close to our boat, including calves with their mums!! So beautiful! It was also awesome just coming out of Sydney harbour, as it's such a dramatic backdrop with the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge against the skyline. The cruise was a bit too long, and we all started to feel pretty seasick, but it was still a really cool way to spend a morning!

Once back on dry land, we headed over to Bondi Beach so the kids could see the skate park and the grown-ups could see the beach. Vinny and Zac were absolutely enthralled by the skaters there, and Bondi was on good form, wowing us with sunshine and blue skies. Once we had spent a couple of hours there, we headed back up the hill to Pip's house, and cooked up a big feast for all of us, then whiled away the evening chatting and enjoying each other's company.
