Friday 26 October – Spa Fridays

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, At home, after a gorgeous spa evening with Kate, Tamara and Lauren. We went to Carbis Bay Hotel & Spa, and had a hilarious outside spa evening, in the freezing cold, rain and storm. It didn’t stop us getting in the outdoor jacuzzi with a cocktail though. Then to warm up we had a hot chocolate and chatted by the fire.

Wednesday 24 October – Welcome baby Kit

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, On high alert! Ruth had gone into labour this morning, and so I was at work frantically checking my phone. By the time work had finished, I headed to Ruth’s to look after Ruan (who’d been with Ruth’s mum in the day) – and then Ruth, James and new baby Kit came home from the hospital! Hello little one, I will love you always.

Saturday 20 October – Happy hangover

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Having breakfast with Lauren and Tamara. After they left, I went to Elsie’s 5th birthday party in Sennen, then Ruth and I went to Mousehole with Ruan. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and I even managed a quick swim!

Friday 19 October - Bad influences

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, In a bar. I couldn’t tell you which one… I’d been out for dinner with Lauren and Tamara to Coco Loco, and then we ended up in a lock-in for a while. Then we went to Wetherspoons, then ended up dancing in Up Bar. We were meant to be having a quiet movie night at mine, haha. What a fun night!

Tuesday 16 October – That winning feeling

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Messaging my netball team. Tonight we had a match against St Agnes so after work we drove up to Truro, and had a cracker of a match. We were drawing for the first three quarters, and not playing our best game, but we managed to dig ourselves out of that hole, and take the win 34-26. I adore this team, they make me feel so happy!

Sunday 14 October – The best type of day

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Getting home from Hayle. I went to Kate's husband's gym with some of my netball friends and we did a hardcore workout. It was so fun! Then we went for coffee after – my favourite thing to do (early exercise then drink coffee). Then Andy and I headed to Rinsey, where he went surfing and I sat on a rock with two lovely girls whose boyfriends were also surfing, and we all chatted and basked in the sunshine. It was so nice to chat to some strangers with the sun shining down on us and the beautiful sea in front of us.
Later, we went home and headed to Ruth's, where we all went for a walk, Ruan was predictably cute (and predictably loved Andy a lot) and then had a roast and a couple of drinks at theirs. Such a good Sunday with so many of my favourite things and people.

Saturday 13 October – A wet and windy howler

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, At home, deciding what to do this afternoon. I'd met Kate and Lauren at the gym in Hayle for an early morning gym sesh (Kate worked us hard!) and then came home to a yummy brekky with Andy (bacon and avocado on toast). It was a really windy, rainy day but Andy and I decided to go on a blustery walk over on the cliffs between Zennor and St Ives. It was awesome, and the colours were amazing! In the afternoon, I caught up on blogging and then hung out with Mum and Pip for a bit. Really cosy, fab day.

Friday 12 October – Mexican madness

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, At The Range. Kate and I met this morning for a swim, and then went to The Range and Sainsbury's for a bit of shopping. I went for a cuppa at Pip's, then had a quite afternoon. In the evening I worked at Coco Loco with Andy, and there was an awesome group of ladies in from St Mary's RC School (my old primary school), all in Mexican sombreros, with moustaches, drinking tequila, and being awesome.

Wednesday 10 October – Last of the summer shine

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Making plans with Lauren. She came over for a lunchtime walk and coffee; it was such a stunning day today, and the weather is set to turn so it was the perfect day to make the most of the sunshine.

Tuesday 9 October – Little and large

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Making plans with Tamara, my very tall friend! We try to go for a run once a week, and today the sun was shining and it was a gorgeous day for a lunchtime jog. In the eve I coached the 5th team to another win (had to battle for this one though!).

(Can't find a picture of either of these things so here's a post Tamara put up!)

Sunday 24 February – Mexican with ma chicas

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Swimming at the Leisure Centre with all the Harrison and Pyrah kids. It was so fun! Although I'd been for a swim with Claire beforehand so after about 3 hours in the pool I was a bit wrinkly! In the afternoon I went to Newquay with Laura, Ruth, Katie and Nicky for Nicky's birthday meal at Gilmore's. It was so beautiful, the sun streaming the windows and we had delicious Mexican and Prosecco to toast our gorgeous preggo Nic.

Saturday 23 February – Sand dunes and birthday boys

Current location: Hayle
11.11am, Playing on the sand dunes with the Pyrahs and the Harrisons. It was so cool there! I nipped off to go to Toby's birthday party in Helston, and then re-joined the families back at Pippa's house, where we played, the kids went to bed, then Pip, Claire, Matt and I stayed up chatting and sharing a bottle of wine and lots of crisps.

Friday 22 February – So much movement

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Walking with Mum. The Reese's Pieces left this morning, and then Mum and I went for an impromptu walk to Marazion and back. Then I went up to the gym, cycled for an hour and a half and then did a Pilates class. I loved it! The Harrisons arrived in the evening, yay!

Thursday 21 February – Dinner date

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, Chatting to Kate and Jim. We went for a lovely dinner at The Cornish Barn, where we all ate fish and drank wine and just had the best time talking about travels and holidays and countries and funny memories.

Wednesday 20 February – Rees arrival

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, Asleep on the couch, as the Reese's Pieces are staying at our house. We had a fun evening with them, having dinner at Pippa's, a drink at the Coastguard, and hangs at home.

Sunday 17 February – One of my favourite days

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, On the prom. This morning has been full of activity so far. It started with a gym class in Hayle with some of my buddies, then a quick coffee. Then I jumped back in the car and dashed back to Penzance, where I met most of my lovely netball team. They had a run along the prom (I held the bags) in the sunshine, then a few of us braved the sea and went for a swim! It was freeeeeezing but so fun! To warm up, we went to Harbourside Cafe (eight of us and three dogs!) where they brought us big mugs of tea and loads of buttery toast and yummy breakfast to warm up. It was just lovely.
In the afternoon I went up to Ruth's, where we hung out for an hour or so and then headed over to Sennen for a drink for Molly's birthday. Such a beautiful, sunny day that makes me pleased to be here in Cornwall.

Monday 8 October – The 4ths take the win!

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, At home, buzzing! So happy and wired and not at all asleep. My team (Penzance 4) had their first match tonight, and we won 46-22 against Falcon 2! It was such a good game, I was so impressed with the talent of so many of our players... seriously such a fun match to start off our season.

Sunday 7 October – Lovely day, just lovely

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, At home, doing jobs. We had a pretty quiet/organise-y morning, and then I went to Sennen beach with Mum, Dad and the Pyrahs. The sun was out and we played on the dunes and ran around and had such a lovely afternoon. Then Andy and I headed to Ruth and James' house, where we went for a walk with gorgeous Ruan, then had a yummy chicken roast and a couple of wines. Andy and I put Ruan to bed, and then the grown-ups played Trivial Pursuit (won by Ruth). Just lovely.
