Thursday 28 March – Wed photoshoots

Current location: St Moritz Hotel
11.11am, At a photoshoot for work. It was glorious weather, so we went for full Art Deco sunshine/pool/glamour. I loved it! Photoshoot days are so fun, even if they're long and busy, and I also love meeting other people from the wedding industry.

Wednesday 27 March – An unexpected day off (which I filled with netball)

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, In town. I had an unexpected day off, as I changed m working days around last minute this week, and I was buying things for a picnic. In the afternoon, Andy and I headed to Porthleven to have a gorgeous sunny walk towards Rinsey (and before that I managed to squeeze in half an hour at the college watching some of my netball girls in their college match, which they won!). After our beautiful sunny walk, we went back to Penzance to eat cake with Dad for his birthday, and then I went up to netball and took a session with my friend Kate. She'd planned a really good training session, and it was really fun!

Monday 25 March – More of my favourites

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Organising my netball team who were playing in the evening. They smashed it, winning 74-26, and I just could not ask any more from them. They are so talented, try so hard, and best of all are such good company. I adore them.

Sunday 24 March – Blow away the dustiness

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, Going for a walk in the gorgeous sunshine. I was quite hungover but it was a beautiful day so we headed outside and hung by Battery Rocks for a bit. In the afternoon, Andy and I went to Sennen to have a walk with friends, and a coffee, and a pint, then we went to babysit the Pyrahs. A very enjoyable day, especially considering it was a hangover day!

Saturday 23 March – Going once, going twice...

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, In the rugby club. It was an auction night for our netball club, and we were getting silly and rowdy and laughing lots and having a ball! I love my netball buddies, so it was ace just having a couple of wines and letting our hair down and catching up outside of sport. After it finished, a few of us went to town, where we danced and had some more drinks and then I went home (having taken the cream tea I bid out on my night out with me!).

Friday 22 March – My old mate

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, At home, watching The Wire on the couch and falling asleep. Andy and I had been out for drinks with my friend Charlie, who I've been friends with for over 20 years. We had such a nice time over a few wines, having a good old catch-up in the Lamp & Whistle. Andy and I were going to go for dinner after, but instead we grabbed a curry and went home to veg out/pig out.

Thursday 21 March – More netball

Current location: Penzance
11.11am, At work. This week, my life consists of work and netball - I have been to watch/cheer/coach/train Monday (4th team coaching), Tuesday (1st team cheering), Wednesday (taking training) and Thursday (5th team coaching) this week! Man, I love it. Tonight was the 5th team match against Bayside and it was a cracker.

Monday 18 March – Dream team do it again

Current location: Penzance
11.11pm, Buzzing. My beautiful netball team smashed it out again, beating Helston 1st team 57-28. I cannot describe my love for these kind, talented, hardworking, hilarious bunch. Tonight was made even more awesome by the support we got; so many people coming to watch and cheer and take pictures, including Mum, Dad, Pippa and Andy!

Sunday 17 March – Walking and carrying and chatting and eating

Current location: Stroud
11.11am, Playing around the house. Not long after that, we went on a big walk along the canal, and ended up at a gorgeous little cafe where we ate lunch and chatted and played and Mum and I knitted a tiny scarf for a teddy. Haha. On the way home, the little legs were feeling tired so. piggy-backed Louis most of the way. Pretty good workout (and I got free cuddles!). We went home, ate more cake, and then jumped in the car to go back to Penzance. I love this family.

Saturday 16 March – Megan's christening

Current location: Somewhere in the south-west
11.11am, In the car with Mum and Dad. We were driving up to Claire's for Megan's christening (and 1st birthday party). The journey was good, then the christening was gorgeous, and the party afterwards was fun, funny, loud, lovely, full of cake and chats. Lots of my family were there so it was great to see them all, and to see all the kids having fun on the bouncy castle and buzzing around. In the evening, I went back to Claire and Matt's, and we played with the kids then made curry and drank wine and chatted.

Thursday 14 March – Photoshoot day at Hotel Endsleigh

Current location: Devon
11.11am, At a photoshoot for work. We had a wicked team of very funny and talented people, and got some really gorgeous shots for next issue of Wed Magazine. A long old day, but a good one, topped off by arriving home late to my husband, a clean house, dinner, flowers and wine.

Tuesday 1 January – Swimming into the new year

Current location: Ettalong Beach
11.11am, Swimming! We went to the beach when we got up (after sleeping in a tent in the boiling hot summer) and then in the afternoon Jess had organised a New Year's Day barbecue. We ate lots of yummy meats and salads and lay in the shade of palm trees for hours, having swims and watching a scary man drive up onto the grass near us until the police came. In the eve we went to Davistown for steak by the water (until the mozzies got us).

Monday 31 December – New Year's Eve, coast-style

Current location: Ettalong Beach
11.11am, Sitting on the verandah. It felt fitting that the last evening of 2018 was spent on the verandah, as it's such a special place for us and the family. So many hours spent here over the years, and where I always picture Dave.
In the daytime today we went to the Races, where we won a huge $2.05 (luckily some of the rest of our group were bigger winners!). It was. super-hot day, then we came home and ate pizza then headed to Patonga. A group of friends were in the pub there, and our gorgeous Ducky came too. There were fireworks on the beach at 9pm (actually a bit earlier as a storm was coming) and we watched them standing in the drizzle with out feet in the sand. It was brill.
After a couple of drinks in the pub, most of us headed home and sat on Val's verandah, where we stayed until midnight, when we lit sparklers and hugged and sung Auld Lang Syne.

Sunday 30 December – Into Sydney

Current location: Ettalong Beach
11.11am, Sitting on the verandah, blogging and catching up on jobs. It's super hot today, it's been in the 30s all week. In the afternoon, Andy and I went into Sydney and caught up with some friends.

Saturday 29 December – Waking up in paradise

Current location: Mooney Mooney
11.11am, Reading in the tent. It was suuuuuper hot down by the creek, so from when we woke up, we spent the morning alternating between swimming in the creek (which has bull sharks in, eek!), reading and napping. We also saw a massive monitor lizard trying to get our food, haha naughty lizard.
In the afternoon, we drove back home and went to a little festival in Woy Woy, with food trucks and beers on the greens at the bowls club, then we spontaneously decided to go out on a barbecue boat! Jess, Mitch and their friends were going, then there ended up being room for us - hooray! It was the most awesome afternoon of swimming and sunshine, with awesome people. I absolutely loved it.

Friday 28 December – Exploring Mooney Mooney

Current location: Mooney Mooney Creek
11.11pm, Asleep in a tent! Today Andy and I went camping, which is one of my very favourite things to do. We first of all went to 'Pie in the Sky', which is a pie shop overlooking the national park, then we went for a big walk in Mooney Mooney. We found an epic little camp spot next to the creek – which was being used by a group of mates on a fishing trip – so we joined them, had a beer and a snag and lots of funny chats, and then took ourselves off to sleep in our tent.

Thursday 27 December – See ya Palmie

Current location: Palm Beach
11.11am, Getting packed up to leave our lovely holiday home. This morning, Andy and I got up at 6.30am to walk to Barrenjoey Lighthouse. It was such a beautiful walk and amazing view – you can see all the way across to Ettalong!) – and lovely to spend some time together and get moving after a lot of sitting and eating!
