Friday 1 October - My first ever schnitzel

11.11am, Walking up/down four flights of stairs with a LOT of stuff. Today was Moving Day! We said goodbye to Emser Strasse, feeling a little sad after all the amazing times we had there, but then moved onto the fourth floor of an apartment on Weigandufer. I love it; it's right on the canal and it is even lovelier than I remembered. Andy and I spent the whole day making it as homely and ace as we could, and I became a bit obsessed with the lounge window, which is so pretty and looks out on lots of trees. I love it here; isn't it strange that you can feel at home in somewhere you've just moved in to?

To celebrate after about 10 hours of packing and unpacking, we went for dinner at Kuchen Kaiser, a traditional German restaurant, and I had my first ever schnitzel. It was amazing. One of the best meals of my life, and when we were just finishing up, it was 11.11pm, so that was nice. Then it was on to Peligro, where we met Emma, Eri and some other friends and completely did away with Sober October by drinking lots of celebratory pink wine and vodka schnees!

The ride home at 4am was kind of eventful, in that we managed to get lost and had to cut through a building site, which was horrible apart from the fact that we saw a real life crack fox, so that was exciting.

A tiring, active, exciting, funny, cold day.
