Current location: Sydney, Australia!
11.11am, Having breakfast (I think; to be honest I have no idea what times things happened today!). We landed in Sydney at about 6.30am, and were greeted by an amazing welcome party of Nick, Bree, Dave and Val, who then drove us to a gorgeous place in Camperdown (I've forgotten its name). Jess and Livvy also turned up, we had a coffee and avocado on toast, and just like that, it felt like we'd never been away.
It was an absolutely gorgeous, scorching day (about 30C), so we headed to Tamarama Beach (where there happened to be a beach volleyball tournament on?!) and lay about in the sunshine and shade, eating ice lollies, swimming, and soaking up the best of Sydney.
Next we all decamped to Nick and Bree's and opened a bottle of bubbles and let Live entertain us, then Andy and I met Nick and Bree in Marrickville for early evening drinks. We lasted until about 9pm I think, before jet lag got hold of us and off we went to sleep. A classically perfect first day in Sydney.
