11.11am, On the way to pick Catdog up!!! She's been one of my all-time bessies since we met at uni in 2004, and for the past month she has been travelling down the east coast of Australia in a campervan with her lovely boyfriend Andy. I was soooo ecited to see her!
When we picked them up, it was just like I'd seen them last week. So normal, and lovely! We went back to our house, and then went out for some lunch and a glass of wine in the sun in Erskineville. I still can't believe they're here! We had a few options for the afternoon but decided go to Marrickville and go barefoot bowling. It's a popular activity here, and basically consists of going to a bowls club, taking your shoes off, and having drinks. It was fab!
After a day in the sun, we went back home and had a shower and a quick bit of dinner, then all met up in Newtown for drinks. Sha and Tristan have just moved to Erskineville, so they were out getting to know the 'hood, as well as a few more of our friends. We started in Earl's Juke Joint, then moved onto Mary's, then a weird downstairs Tokyo club, where we drank cocktails out of cans and played Newtown's Next Top Model. It was so bloody fun; I haven't had a night out like that in ages, and it was just beyond awesome to have Cat there too!
