Monday 10 February – Day 3 at sea

Current location: Somewhere between Australia and New Zealand

Current location: On the sea
11.11am, In a Q&A session with Gavin MacLeod aka Captain Stubing. His stories were really interesting – although being in the theatre at the front of the boat, which was rocky, while we had mild hangovers was not quite so interesting!). After a few hours of book signings, Q&As and chats with the Capt, we went for a pizza lunch at Verdi's, an Italian pizzeria on board. Yum! I love having all this food to choose from!

After lunch, we headed to the sumptuous spa, where we were booked in for 75 minutes of massages and facials. It was absolute bliss and exactly what we needed to properly unwind after all the stress of...eating...relaxing...sunbathing. I love this cruise!

Feeling blissed out, we headed back up to the deck and caught a bit of Mamma Mia!, which was being shown on the 'Movies Under the Stars' screen, and ate an ice-cream.

That night was formal night so, despite our straighteners breaking on the first day (disaster!), we dolled ourselves up, put on our best dresses and ate an amazing four-course dinner with champagne. Everyone was on fine form and lots of couples were dancing these amazing, formal dances that I will no chance of ever learning, and it was gorgeous to see so many older couples being romantic and dancing with their loves as though they were 16. We had our own little boogie to 'My Heart Will Go On' (yes, they sung the song from Titanic!), then headed to sleep ready for an early start tomorrow.
