Saturday 28 April – Anita’s hen do

Current location: Prague!
11.11am, On our way to brunch. After a late night last night, we all had a lazy morning, then met for a brunch at a really nice restaurant called Mlynec. It was right by the water, and the food was amazing. I’ll be honest, I don’t usually fancy smoked eel on a hangover, but I made an exception this time haha. We had a huge tasting menu, accompanied by lots of prosecco (and juice and coffee) and so many other delightful foods; seriously it was such a nice experience. Afterwards, we went to meet our tour guide David for a bike tour around the city on electric bikes. There are a few things to say about this. 1 - I loved David. 2 - I loved being on an electric bike. 3 - This city is so beautiful. 4 - The sun came out all day, it was absolutely stunning. We laughed our way around the city, finding out lots, taking hundreds of photos and generally cracking ourselves up. Especially when I got a flat tyre and then had to share a scooter with Tina all the way home.
When we got back, we had exactly 13 minutes to get ready before a stretch limo arrived (yep!) and we cruised around the city waving at people and playing hen do games and drinking more prosecco. When it dropped us off at a restaurant, we got a huge (happy) shock. Nina, one of the hen girls, had organised a little beautiful boat to take us up the river, so we drank more prosecco, ate some yummy canapés and basically all wigged out at how amazing it was.

An hour later, it brought us back to the restaurant and we dined on pasta (and Aperol Spritzes) and watched the sunset, then walked back through the cobbled Prague streets to our apartments. Such a mind-blowingly awesome day.
