11.11am, Running. Emily and I got up and went for a run in Vondelpark this morning (it was so hot!) and then headed home for our tradition (can it be a tradition in 2 days?!) of avocado on toast brekkie with fruit and iced coffee, all together at the sunny table. Around midday we headed north to pick up a boat, then spent the afternoon cruising around the canals, mooring up to grabs some snacks, then keep going. Such a cool way to sightsee, and was super relaxed and sunny and chilled. Oh I love this holiday. Afterwards, we nearly went into Dam Square to sightsee but, in a sign of how old we’re getting and how much this holiday is about relaxing, we went home for a nap instead! It was pretty hot (29C) and we were all determined not to do anything on this holiday that we felt we ‘should’ do, only things we wanted to do, so decision made! Before too long, we all headed to the airport, where Emily caught her flight and Cat, Sarah and I sat around waiting for our delayed one, as the airport closed around us. We finally got home around midnight, so satisfied, so chilled, with happy hearts.
