11.11pm, Just getting home. Tonight, we celebrated. We celebrated an amazing season of football with some extraordinary people – awesome footballers who have become good friends. We celebrated a verrrrry close grand final, which ended 0-0 and went to penalties. We celebrated only have 1 sub for the whole game (thanks to injury, holidays, etc) and the team being absolute warriors. We celebrated Colin, our goalie, playing out of his skin, and saving 5 of the 7 penalties. We celebrated when we won, the first time the team has won the league in 10 years. We celebrated our brilliant opponents, our ‘sister team’ who put up such a fight. We celebrated with beers and hugs and tequilas and news and so much joy! Freelance United!
