11.11am, At Lakes Folly winery, the first of many wineries we were planning on visiting today! After Lakes Folly, we headed to Audrey Wilkinson, my favourite winery, and then to Gundog. Gotta love some morning wine-tasting! The Hunter is so beautiful, and the weather was gorgeous and sunny and crisp, it was just lovely having an explore. We stopped off for lunch, then kicked on with Hungerford Hill winery, which was hilarious and resulted in us purchasing a lot of wine! As the day went on, and the sun stayed out, we made our way back to Wollombi Views and had a bit of chill time before starting on a roast dinner.
For the evening, we had all decided to come dressed as a character from a book (yes, we are massive book nerds, don't forget!), and it was so impressive! Everyone made such an effort and looked so cool, and it was so funny! We had Daisy Buchanan from The Great Gatsby, Pippa from The Goldfinch, Miss Havisham from Great Expectations, The White Witch from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Chiyo Sakamoto from Memoirs of a Geisha, Sherlock Holmes and The 100-year-old Man Who Climbed Out of a Window and Disappeared! Quite the costume party! What bloody amazing girls.
