Saturday 25 July – Catdog's wedding!

11.11am, At Tesco, picking up some meal deals. Not very exciting for what was to be a VERY exciting day, but most of this morning was filled with wedding prep. We started it with a run in the sun, with Sarah and Emma, and it was the loveliest start, before a hilarious fry-up brekkie (with a lot of conversation about cheese, and having to decide between watermelon and croissants). Then it was all systems go for wedding day. Andy was taking photos, and Emma was one of the beautiful bridesmaids, so Brodie and I hung out and got to the church to set up some video bits. The excitement levels were high, and the emotion... well, I have honestly not experienced anything like that wedding. Due to the current restrictions on weddings, there can only be a total of 30 people. This meant that everyone in that church was a person who loved that couple dearly. The love was so bloody intense, and the joy at seeing them both be able to get married was like nothing I've seen. It was a gorgeous ceremony, and then just as we were heading outside to Cat's parents' house, the heavens opened. It was kind of dramatic and exciting, but obviously not ideal for the newly-weds! Back at Cat's parents, we had some drinks and basically spent the next few hours soaking up all the love, playing with Cat's niece, taking photos, and eating the most amazing food. Then the rain dried up and we danced and danced and danced all night on the patio. It was like being at uni again, but with even more emotion (and dressed nicer). The night culminated with us walking back to the hotel at 2am, beers in hand, so pleased that they were now married. I love this couple, and the love I have for Catdog is so huge, I was so beyond delighted to be part of her day. Well done you legends.
