Saturday 7 January – National Parks and Wineries

Current location: Central Coast, NSW
11.11am, On the way to Watagans National Park. Andy took me for a surprise getaway for my Christmas present, and we went to the national park for a walk to Gap Creek Falls. The waterfalls were absolutely stunning, and standing underneath them looking up into the sun was one of those moments I really hope to remember forever. I think one of the moments Andy would like to forget was when he then got attacked by leeches on the walk back. Eek!
After our waterfall adventure we drove onto the Hunter Valley and visited a couple of wineries before staying at Undercliff Winery. It was beautiful and very old (we stayed in a cottage uilt by convicts!) and there was a wombat wandering around our garden!
The evening comprised of us visiting the local Wollombi Tavern, drinking Jungle Juice cocktails and eating schnitzel.
