11.11am, At St Michael's Spa Hotel. Today is Lily's hen do! Lily, who I have known and loved since I was 11 years old! We set up and got everything ready (although, to be honest, Lily's sister Mary had already done pretty much everything!) and then hid under a table waiting for lily to arrive. It wasn't really a SURPRISE! situation, as Lily obviously knew we were all there, but I think we were already all a bit giddy and excited!
First up, we had a fascinator workshop, where some lovely ladies helped us fashion amazing creations from random bits of lace and ribbon and buttons, fuelled by a yummy, scrummy cream tea. Then, when we were full and finished, we headed to the spa for an afternoon of relaxation. I think the most strenuous thing I did all afternoon was a few lazy laps of the heated pool, interspersed with sessions in the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
Feeling thoroughly chilled, we headed upstairs to get glammed up and ready for the evening: games, dinner and drinks. Some of us (read: Pippa and me) focused heavily on the 'games' part and really went to town with the organised fun!! The food was delicious (bar a couple of questionable desserts!), the wine was flowing and we were all so pleased to celebrate our Lil getting married!
