Saturday 2 May – Road trip to Somerset

Current location: The motorway, England
11.11am, Nearly at Swindon. We were on our way to Somerset for Sara Maden's wedding tomorrow, but had planned a stop-off at Sarah Potts' family home on the way. I was pretty excited to see her parents, who I adore, and was also pretty excited after two hours in the car with some of my fave people: Sarah, Will, Andy and Catdog. Road trip!

When we'd refuelled and refilled on tea, cake and sandwiches, we carried on to Shepton Mallet, our destination for the next couple of days. We all had a chilled afternoon, planning for the next day, practising our dance (a surprise for Maden from all the hen do girls!), chatting about general life in the past year, and beautifying ourselves. As the night came around, we decided to go out for dinner, only to find that Shepton Mallet is a pretty small place, and everywhere was booked up, even the pubs. Eventually our very lovely B&B owner found us a table at a pretty bizarre restaurant, where we stifled giggles all night and kept us laughing for the bet few weeks. I won't reveal which one it was, but think The League of Gentleman and you're halfway there.
