Tuesday 29 July – From da beach to da club

Current location: St Ives
11.11am, Wandering around St Ives. It turned into quite a nice day after a bit of a grey start, so most of us hopped on a rain to St Ives (top picture, could this be the most scenic train route in England?), had a peruse around town, then went to the beach. I had to come back to Penzance for an optician's appointment (wild), then I went to meet Claire and friends at Donnington Road for a cream tea. By now it was gloriously sunny, but the tea (and the scone/jam/cream) went down perfectly.
By evening, Kate and Jim were getting ready to drive back up to London with Ella and Jake, while Claire etc went for a swim off Battery Rocks and I went to Zumba with Ruth and Nicky, in the Twilight Zone. The Twilight Zone is a very cheesy club that we used to go to, and it was pretty weird and funny to be dancing around in sports gear 10 years later. If those (sweaty, gross) walls could talk!
