Saturday 19 July – Sarah's hen do

Current location: Covent Garden, London
11.11pm, Dancing! Today was Potts' hen do! It was amazing! After some frantic organising from Catdog and I on different sides of the world, I was hoping it would all come together for today's hen do, which saw some of us starting the day with breakfast on the canal, then 24 of us meeting at Exmouth Market for fascinator making!
We were at the loveliest little crafty place, where two ace women from In with the Old helped us make fascinators, fed us champagne and encouraged our games and giggles. Then we had a delicious afternoon tea before sending everyone off for a scavenger hunt around London. The results were hilarious (check #MissPottsnomore on Instagram) and we got so involved, we left ourselves hardly any time to get ready (in 1920s outfits).
In the evening, we met at Jewel for some fancy drinks and funny games, and everyone looked so awesome! I wish I had a picture of us all, because everyone put such a fab effort in, and looked amazing! After a couple of hours of cocktails and bubbles, we headed to Covent Garden, for dinner at Tuttons. It worked out so well, because we had our own vault downstairs so didn't annoy everyone else in Central London on a Saturday night.
We ate such good food, played more hilarious games and just had the best time. What really stood out about tonight was how much everyone laughed. It was such a lovely group of women, and we didn't stop smiling. Potts is such a beautiful person, so it wasn't surprising that her friends are all lovely ladies, but it really was one of the best hen dos I've ever been on (can I say that when I helped organise it?!). Can't wait for the wedding!
