Saturday 30 November – The perfect day in Sydney

Current location: Coogee, Sydney
11.11am, On a cliff walk. Today is Mum and Dad's last day in Sydney (sob!) so we decided to do the Coogee to Bondi walk. I've never done it in its entirety, only bits of it, and have meaning to do it for months, so this was the perfect opportunity. It was a gorgeous walk, and a lovely warm day. When we got to Bondi, we had a potter around the shops, had a DELISH lunch of wraps, salads and rice paper rolls and then headed into the city to go to church at the cathedral. It was so beautiful in there and the service was very moving. I also went to confession for the first time in about 15 years (that's a lot of sinning to say sorry for!!), which was much less intimidating than I remember as a 13-year-old.
As the evening came around, we headed back to Erskineville and went to Stir Crazy, a Thai place I love. We had a bottle of champers, sat round the table (Mum, Dad, Andy and I) and talked about their trip and all the highlights/funny bits. I have had the loveliest time with them and will be very sad to see them go tomorrow! But what a lovely last day to have shared together.
