11.11am, Having a cup of tea at Lauren's house. This doesn't sound particularly eventful or exciting, but for me it was the most wonderful thing! Lauren and I met at the age of 10, in Narrogin, Western Australia, and have stayed super close ever since. She's one of my best friends in the whole world and even thousands of kilometres couldn't keep us apart.The last time I saw her was October 2011, for her incredible wedding to Corey-bear, so I was pretty excited to be back with her again and introduce her to Andy, another very important person in my life! In predictable awesomeness, they obviously immediately got on really well, and we spent a good few hours seeing Loz's new house, drinking tea and chatting.
This trip was always going to be a fun one for us, with lots of our close friends now living in WA, so after a few hours we headed out to meet Keno (one of Andy's bessies who we used to spend lots of time with in Berlin and Austria). He's another ball of awesomeness, so we just enjoyed each others company, going for a lovely long walk to Leederville, meeting Heidi, another one of their friends, and then going for a drive to the beach. Although the sun was out, it was a pretty windy day so we had a little walk then went for a beer in Cottesloe.Heading home for dinner, Andy cooked up a delicious stuffed chicken dish, and the four of us (Andy, Lauren, Corey and I) ate, drank, chatted, laughed and went to bed. Phew – a jam-packed first day!
