Tuesday 6 August – Dream team Quin and yoga posing

Current location: Coogee, WA
11.11pm, Learning how to make pasta. Yes, at nearly midnight. This is the bizarre fun kinds of things that happen at the Quin household. We had started our day with the beautiful Skip in Dunsborough, and had a lovely potter through the town, and had my first ever green smoothie (yummo!). Skip needed some yoga pictures taking so we set up an impromptu photoshoot at the beach, and the shots came out amazingly!

After getting back to Perth, she dropped us at Fionnuala and Linden's house in Coogee, where we walked in and their beautiful daughters (six-year old twins Jemima and Lyra, and four-year-old Grace) ushered us into a 'disco' in their lounge, complete with flashing lights and a dance competition. The evening continued like this until it was dinnertime, and time to make pizzas. The kids made their own (some worked out well, others, such as Grace's giant block of dough with ham and pineapple scattered over, no so much), and Linden made the adults' one. YUM. I can't remember exactly what was on them but they took inspiration from their fave pizza restaurant in Melbourne, and the result was delish!

After the girls had gone to bed, we cracked open the cocktail cabinet and made some weird and wonderful drinks (my favourite one smelt exactly like lollies), before the conversation turned to making pasta. In typical awesome Linden style, he didn't think twice about grabbing ingredients, clearing the table and showing me how to make it. We finished at about midnight, and put the pasta in the fridge, ready for dinner the next day.
