Saturday 29 June – Rain, rain, go away

Current location: Ettalong Beach
11.11am, Eating breakfast. Not outside, because it was raining so much! It has tipped down for the past few days (pretty sure that's not in the adverts for Australia) and today is no exception. After a lazy, indoor morning, Nick, Andy and I decided to go to the national park so the boys and I could have a walk (the waves there are a bit too scary for me to surf!). It was still tipping it down but we just decided to put on our wet weather stuff and embrace the rain. Just on the walk down to the beach we got soooo wet, but it was really fun to be out in the elements!

On the way home, we picked Bree up from the train station, and the four of us went back to ours for a cosy night in. For once, I decided to cook, and made yummy chicken pies with veg, then a chocolate and red wine tart for dessert. I know you're not meant to blow your own trumpet but it was so good! The tart tasted like mulled wine. Mmmm. We watched a film (The Guard) – it's been a film kind of weekend – and went to bed.
