Tuesday 25 December - Merry Cornish Crimbo!

Current location: Sennen Beach, Cornwall
11.11am, In the sea! The annual Sennen Christmas Day Swim takes place at 11am each Christmas Day and this year I managed to convince Dad and Andy to come in with me. Ruth, Jack, Dave, Sydney and Charlie were there too so we all donned Santa hats and ran in, screaming and splashing and very quickly going numb! So much fun, and such a good crowd of people. The sun came out for the short time we went in the sea then, as we got changed (helped by mulled wine and biscuits made by Pippa, who was there with Vinny and Zac), the rain started to fall. All the family piled in to cars and headed back to Mum and Dad's house, where Vinny and Zac led the present opening!

Everyone got thoroughly spoilt with amazing presents and lots of chocolates, then we all sat down to a yummy lunch of soup, bread and a million cheeses (followed by chocolate of course), before it was time for more present opening and then a run in the park. Santa had bought the boys some football-related pressies so we went and played with them, resulting a very muddy Andy and a lot of laughing from the rest of us.

Having worked up a pretty big appetite, we ran home and were soon treated to a huge feast of a Christmas dinner, complete with presents, crackers, scratchcards, seconds, thirds, champers, pudding, cake and lots of shouts and laughs. Christmas night melted into the tried-and-tested favourite of board games and crap TV and we went to bed happy, overexcited, indulged and full. Merry Christmas!
